Perfect Start films your gate start, runs it through our pose and bike models, and hands back the numbers before you have wheeled back up the hill — reaction time, launch velocity, and what to fix on the next one.
How it works
Two phones and a printed marker. One plays the official cadence, one films the start. Nothing to install on the track.
Set up once
Stand the printed AprilTag at the gate and point the camera phone side-on. The app calibrates itself — real metres, not pixels.
Take the start
Official cadence, randomised gate timing. The gate tone is recorded with the video, so reaction time is measured against the real drop.
Read the numbers
Reaction time, launch velocity, jump starts, and a skeleton overlay of your own start — back on the phone in seconds.
